great website to honour a great conductor my first christmas present when
we married in 1968 was beethoven symphonies boxed set treasured them ever

Herbert von Karajan was undoubtedly the most prodigiously gifted conductor
of our time. His vast recorded legacy of works, especially of composers
such as Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner, Puccini, Sibelius, Richard Strauss and
Wagner, contains versions which are unlikely ever to be surpassed in terms
of the quality of interpretation or the refinement and splendour of the
orchestral playing. Linda Perkins must be congratulated for her knowledge,
commitment and sheer hard work in creating and maintaining this site; it is
a wonderful tribute to the great man.

I have previously signed the old guestbook, however as some of that has
been lost and a new one opened I felt that I would like to add further
comment.
The work that has gone into creating this website is tremendous, I know
that Linda never had the pleasure of attending a Karajan concert but the
passion she has shown for what most of us would call the greatest conductor
of all time is amazing. The website is a fitting and lasting tribute to the
great man, it has also allowed many of us to contact each other all over
the world to exchange not only memories but important memorabilia and
recorded documents involving Karajan.
I would urge all fans to explore and contribute if possible to the visitor
comments section of the site.
